The rich yellow tone of Anaak’s Adrian shorts is created using responsible azo-free dyes – a nod to the label’s commitment to the environment, which informs all of its practices. They’re crafted from fine cotton muslin that’s give a crinkled texture and fit to a high-rise elasticated waist with side slip pockets.
Artist and textile designer Marissa Maximo works with small artisanal communities, especially disadvantaged women, to create her breezy, free-spirited dresses and separates in an environmentally-conscious way, using natural fibres like cotton (organic where possible) voile, muslin and silk, and non-toxic vegetable dyes.
