Anaak’s penchant for creating carefree warm-weather silhouettes is captured through the relaxed fit of this pink Ajmer midi dress. It’s made by artisans in rural India from crinkled cotton muslin and has a V-neck that leads to a gathered empire line and gently undulating skirt.
Artist and textile designer Marissa Maximo works with small artisanal communities, especially disadvantaged women, to create her breezy, free-spirited dresses and separates in an environmentally-conscious way, using natural fibres like cotton (organic where possible) voile, muslin and silk, and non-toxic vegetable dyes.
