Gioia Ruched Dip-Dyed Cotton Maxi Skirt

Anaak experiments with texture and colour to create this white and orange Gioia maxi skirt in collaboration with artisans in India. It's crafted from breathable slubbed cotton gauze with a ruched waist and dip-dyed with eco-friendly azo-free colour, making each slightly unique.

Artist and textile designer Marissa Maximo works with small artisanal communities, especially disadvantaged women, to create her breezy, free-spirited dresses and separates in an environmentally-conscious way, using natural fibres like cotton (organic where possible) voile, muslin and silk, and non-toxic vegetable dyes.
