It's crafted in India as part of a small-batch run by local artisans – in keeping with founder Marissa Maximo's mindful vision – to a relaxed shape with a hood and side flap pockets, then finished with slits up the seams.
Artist and textile designer Marissa Maximo works with small artisanal communities, especially disadvantaged women, to create her breezy, free-spirited dresses and separates in an environmentally-conscious way, using natural fibres like cotton (organic where possible) voile, muslin and silk, and non-toxic vegetable dyes.
