Double Denim Jacket

Developed from an original piece, a 'garage workers jacket', this is a classic workwear-style jacket cut from a rigid denim twill crafted by Japanese mill Kuroki. Indigo denim is traditionally woven with a white weft and an indigo-dyed warp, causing white fading when worn down. This style, however, is sewn from a so-called indigo-on-indigo denim fabric – a special weave where both the warp and the weft yarns are indigo-dyed before weaving, resulting in a fabric with a unique and deep colour that will fade into a lighter blue over time.
