If you thought the IBI trainers from sustainable Brazilian label Cariuma couldn't get any better, then allow us to introduce you to the latest generation. Crafted from bamboo and recycled PET, the pair's planet-friendly production costs produce three times fewer emissions than your average shoes. Even the lining and sole are eco-conscious – the former being crafted from foam, cork, and Mamona oil, while the sole is made from sugarcane.
Cariuma's classic, skate-inspired designs are made with certified responsibly-sourced materials and for every pair purchased, two trees are planted in the Brazilian rainforest to directly aid reforestation.
'Cariuma chooses certified more-sustainable materials for all its trainers, including bamboo, natural rubber, organic cotton, sugarcane, cork, mamonia oil (a plant-based and organic alternative to petroleum), recycled PET and responsibly-sourced leather and suede.'
