Trainers that are comfortable and consciously made? Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, not any more thanks to Cariuma – the planet-friendly label whipping up sustainable shoes. And it’s the brand’s OCA Low kicks that caught our attention. Drawing inspiration from retro athletic styles (hence their easy-to-wear silhouette), they’re created using high-quality natural materials with a low impact on the environment. Oh, and to top it off, they arrive in recycled packaging too.
Cariuma's classic, skate-inspired designs are made with certified responsibly-sourced materials and for every pair purchased, two trees are planted in the Brazilian rainforest to directly aid reforestation.
'Cariuma chooses certified more-sustainable materials for all its trainers, including bamboo, natural rubber, organic cotton, sugarcane, cork, mamonia oil (a plant-based and organic alternative to petroleum), recycled PET and responsibly-sourced leather and suede.'
