Having grown up on the beach, it’s no surprise that the ocean is close to Josefina A. Theo’s heart; when she headed up Casa Raki, protecting it was her number one priority. The sustainable swimwear label calls on a light and stretchy recycled-polyamide blend to craft the Cindy bikini bottoms – a quality, eco-friendly fabric made from repurposed plastic waste, most of which is collected from the sea.
Casa Raki uses certified organic and recycled materials to create swimwear and airy separates, inspired by founder Josefina Alazraki’s childhood in Uruguay, and produced in a women-run factory in Portugal. Classic, minimal designs ensure a timelessness to each piece, in keeping with the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
