Growing up on the idyllic coast of Punta Del Este, Uruguay, photographer-turned-designer Josefina A. Theo dreams up clothing to accompany you on your balmy beach getaways. A case in point? The Emilia shorts from her label Casa Raki. Spun from organic cotton, the high-rise pair is light and breezy to keep you cool when you're exploring the sites, while their dainty frilled trims prime them for ocean-view dinners and sunset drinks alike.
Casa Raki uses certified organic and recycled materials to create swimwear and airy separates, inspired by founder Josefina Alazraki’s childhood in Uruguay, and produced in a women-run factory in Portugal. Classic, minimal designs ensure a timelessness to each piece, in keeping with the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
'Made with at least 50% organic cotton. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, uses less water and emits less greenhouse gas than non-organic.'
