Chloé's large namesake sepia-beige basket bag is crafted in partnership with Mifuko, a social enterprise based in Kenya that's a member of the World Fair Trade Organisation. It's artisanally made from fair trade paper that's treated with a water-repellent finish and smooth leather by a weaver whose name is hot-stamped at the front pocket, then suspends from two topstitched shoulder straps.
Founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, Chloé upended the formal traditions of couture fashion with its bohemian aesthetic. Under icons including Karl Lagerfeld, and now Creative Director, Chemena Kamali, it continues to draw on this rich heritage to appeal to modern generations of Chloé girls, drawn to its free-spirited femininity.
