Aside from reimagining signature Chloé silhouettes since taking the role as Creative Director, Gabriela Hearst is focussing her energy on creating new accessories. Spotted on the brand's spring 2022 runway, the Louela tote is the latest from the Uruguay-born, New York-based designer. Sculpted from sustainably sourced leather, it's framed by a textural interplay of tricolour twisted suede and calfskin to highlight the label's new approach to artisanal design.
Founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, Chloé upended the formal traditions of couture fashion with its bohemian aesthetic. Under icons including Karl Lagerfeld, and now Creative Director, Chemena Kamali, it continues to draw on this rich heritage to appeal to modern generations of Chloé girls, drawn to its free-spirited femininity.
