Selfridges Says: Chloé has quite the reputation for whipping up ‘It’ bags (just look the likes of the Paddington, Faye, Tess and NIle to prove that), and we reckon its latest creation, the Woody, is about to follow suit. Primed for summer picnics, it’s woven from strips of paper to form a basket-shaped body, and has been trimmed with the Parisian label’s moniker stitched across two braided top handles that can be carried by hand or slung over the shoulder.
Founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, Chloé upended the formal traditions of couture fashion with its bohemian aesthetic. Under icons including Karl Lagerfeld, and now Creative Director, Chemena Kamali, it continues to draw on this rich heritage to appeal to modern generations of Chloé girls, drawn to its free-spirited femininity.
