The womenswear design team have revisited a classic COS silhouette, reinterpreted for summer in a lightweight blend of linen and organic cotton. These beige culottes are cut for a relaxed fit with exaggerated wide legs. Tuck a linen top into the comfortable elasticated waistband.
A brand whose aesthetic has been so influential that it’s hard to remember what went before. But when COS launched in 2007 against a backdrop of fast, trend-led fashion, its focus on minimal pieces at accessible prices was a breakthrough moment. With a focus on style over trend, it heralded a new era for interesting, modern, considered design and changed our wardrobes for the better, forever.
'Made with at least 50% organic cotton and linen. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, uses less water and emits up to 46% less greenhouse gas than non-organic. Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Flax is resilient and can grow in poor soil, using less water than cotton to produce.'
