The COS menswear team looked to traditional workwear when designing these relaxed straight-leg jeans, which we've called System. Washed a neutral ecru shade, they are made from 10.6oz denim that blends organic and recycled cotton with linen, giving the fabric subtle texture. No detail was missed – note the COS-branded rivets, reinforced pockets, hammer loop and triple-needle topstitching that's true to original utility styles.

'Made with at least 50% organic, recycled cotton and linen. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, uses less water and emits up to 46% less greenhouse gas than non-organic. Recycled cotton reduces waste, uses fewer natural resources and has a lower environmental impact. Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Flax is resilient and can grow in poor soil, using less water than cotton to produce.'
