You probably spotted these mules on Fendi’s AW21 runway; they formed part of Kim Jones’ very first women’s ready-to-wear collection for the label - and were pretty hard to miss. Dubbed the Fendi First, they’re defined by a sculptural heel that breaks the mould to form a diagonal F shape in gold-toned metal. The rest of the silhouette keeps things pared back, with two simple front straps made from smooth calf leather and a classic backless design.
Fendi founded in 1925 is globally known for unabashed extravagance. Under the direction of Karl Lagerfeld it developed glamorous womens wear and classically tailored menswear. It consistently produces some of the most sought after ‘it bags’. See them in Vogue and Grazia amongst many others.
