Selfridges Says: Forget slouchy outlines; Givenchy’s tailoring is all about sharp, structural shapes this season, as we can see from this jacket that’s fresh out of the SS24 collection. Creative Director Matthew M. Williams stays true to the Parisian label’s heritage while creating a modern aesthetic with this menswear-inspired piece, cutting it from houndstooth-patterned wool to a longline length, while keeping it neatly nipped through the body. The double-breasted front is further enhanced by padded shoulders and peak lapels.
Staying true to its Haute couture roots Givenchy is one of the most sought after brands of today. Under the creative genius of Ricacardo Tisci the collections are reminiscent of Hubert Givenchy’s mastery of sharp tailoring whilst also showcasing a rawer and tougher edge which comes natural to Tisci.
