Hubert James Taffin de Givenchy founded his namesake label in 1952, debuting with a collection consisting of architectural silhouettes that would result in the brand becoming known as the “enfant terrible of Haute Couture”. Leaving an indelible mark on the industry, the brand fast became recognised by the quadruple ‘G’ logo placed front and centre of this cotton sweatshirt. Based on the avant-garde aesthetic of this rendition, we reckon the Maison’s late founder would approve.
Staying true to its Haute couture roots Givenchy is one of the most sought after brands of today. Under the creative genius of Ricacardo Tisci the collections are reminiscent of Hubert Givenchy’s mastery of sharp tailoring whilst also showcasing a rawer and tougher edge which comes natural to Tisci.
