Hubert Givenchy’s very first collection, which he unveiled at Paris fashion week in 1952, overflowed with floaty silhouettes, voluminous sleeves and ruffles. Perhaps paying homage to its founder, creative director Matthew M. Williams includes this blouse in the label’s AW23 collection. Spun from pure silk and spliced with a V-neckline, the lightweight style is treated with a crinkled texture before being adorned with ruffled trims.
Staying true to its Haute couture roots Givenchy is one of the most sought after brands of today. Under the creative genius of Ricacardo Tisci the collections are reminiscent of Hubert Givenchy’s mastery of sharp tailoring whilst also showcasing a rawer and tougher edge which comes natural to Tisci.
