La Robe Limao Fitted Wool Mini Dress

For its first show staged outside of France, Jacquemus takes us on a sun-soaked trip to O'ahu, Hawaii. Fittingly called Le Splash, the collection – presented on a blue runway – was replete with all the designer's signatures: cult-status shrunken bags, vibrant colours, and flesh-flashing silhouettes. Falling into the latter category, the La Robe Limao wool mini dress is topped with a halterneck (reminiscent of classic bikini styles) and finished with cut-out panels at the waist.

Essentially pared back and minimalist, self-taught French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus pairs tradition and modernity with playful irreverence. Classic references meet with unexpected proportions and distinctive details, in collections that are youthful, fresh, yet with a timeless elegance.
