We’re taking the Anagram jeans as proof that Spanish label Loewe and its Creative Director, Jonathan Anderson, are just as susceptible to logomania as the rest of us. Embossed with the label’s iconic quartet of Ls at each loose leg’s knee, the mid-rise denim pair is a subtle nod to the brand’s storied heritage – the insignia was first designed in 1970 by Spanish artist Vicente Vela and is informally known as ‘el cangrejo’, you know.
For more than 150 years Loewe specialised in leather and silk. While still renowned for its expertly crafted leather goods, including its now-iconic origami-inspired puzzle fold bags, the range has grown to include a wide range of innovative luxury accessories and ready-to-wear collections that have captured the zeitgeist.
