It wasn’t until over a century after Loewe was formed in 1846 that its now-iconic logo made its first appearance in 1970. Designed by Spanish painter Vicente Vela, the motif is based on a cattle branding iron and adorns the likes of this Anagram bag. Crafted from supple calf leather, it’s shaped to a structured tote silhouette and topped with two sets of handles, one wrapped with wicker as a nod the label’s affinity for craft.
For more than 150 years Loewe specialised in leather and silk. While still renowned for its expertly crafted leather goods, including its now-iconic origami-inspired puzzle fold bags, the range has grown to include a wide range of innovative luxury accessories and ready-to-wear collections that have captured the zeitgeist.
