Fashion legend has it that the word “tweed” originated from a misunderstanding – a London merchant thought the Scotch word “tweel” was “tweed” named after the river in Scotland. Whisked across the Channel, the fabric is reinterpreted by Parisian label Maje to create the Reniga mini dress.
