Mara Hoffman's 'Imogen' dress is made using two of the label's favorite fibers, TENCEL™ Lyocell and REFIBRA™ Lyocell - both are derived from ethically sourced wood pulp. Designed in an off-the-shoulder silhouette, it fits slim through the bodice and has a flowy midi skirt. The romantic red hue pairs especially well with white accessories.
Mara Hoffman’s prints have been a summer staple since 2000. The label is now shifting gears and embracing more sustainable practices, including recycled, organic and animal-friendly materials, lower-impact production and artisan suppliers - an approach that matches their new aesthetic of softer colours and artful prints.
'Made with 62% TENCEL™ and 34% REFIBRA™. TENCEL™ is a brand of lyocell, made from plant cellulose. While chemicals are used in its production, it is a closed-loop process, meaning that chemicals can be extracted and waste water reused. Refibra™ technology involves upcycling cotton scraps from garment production and transforming them into cotton pulp. This is added to wood pulp and the combined material transformed to produce TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres.'
