Mara Hoffman’s Resort 2020 lookbook was shot in Roy Kanwit’s Taconic Sculpture Park in upstate New York and this brown Mamba snake-print Iris blouse is aptly pictured in front of a Medusa bronze statue. It’s made in the USA from a lightweight, woven blend of Tencel Lyocell and linen in tune with the designer’s penchant for sustainable and natural fibres, then is edged with pyjama-style piping. Team it with a pendant neckline to highlight the notched collar.
Mara Hoffman’s prints have been a summer staple since 2000. The label is now shifting gears and embracing more sustainable practices, including recycled, organic and animal-friendly materials, lower-impact production and artisan suppliers - an approach that matches their new aesthetic of softer colours and artful prints.

TENCEL™ lyocell is made from plant cellulose and while chemicals are used in its production, it is a closed-loop process, meaning that chemicals can be extracted and waste water reused. Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Flax is resilient and can grow in poor soil, using less water than cotton to produce.'
