Mara Hoffman carefully considers each textile she uses for her pieces. This cropped 'Layne' bustier top is cut from twill with 69% TENCEL™ Lyocell and 31% organic cotton in the blend. It has a notched, strapless neckline and shirred back panel for a close yet flexible fit.
Mara Hoffman’s prints have been a summer staple since 2000. The label is now shifting gears and embracing more sustainable practices, including recycled, organic and animal-friendly materials, lower-impact production and artisan suppliers - an approach that matches their new aesthetic of softer colours and artful prints.
Made with at least 50% TENCEL™ lyocell and organic cotton. TENCEL™ lyocell is made from plant cellulose and while chemicals are used in its production, it is a closed-loop process, meaning that chemicals can be extracted and waste water reused. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, uses less water and emits up to 46% less greenhouse gas than non-organic.'
