Mara Hoffman's 'Namari' dress has dramatic puffed sleeves with elasticated trims, so you can wear them on or off-the-shoulders. It's cut from linen and organic cotton-blend twill, which are grown without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, and has vertical seams that accentuate the slightly loose fit.
Mara Hoffman’s prints have been a summer staple since 2000. The label is now shifting gears and embracing more sustainable practices, including recycled, organic and animal-friendly materials, lower-impact production and artisan suppliers - an approach that matches their new aesthetic of softer colours and artful prints.
'Made with 60% linen and 40% lyocell. Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Flax is resilient and can grow in poor soil, using less water than cotton to produce. Lyocell is made from plant cellulose. While chemicals are used in its production, it is a closed-loop process, meaning that chemicals can be extracted and waste water reused.'
