Mara Hoffman consciously crafts this blush-pink Tulay skirt from hemp — considered to be one of the most environmentally friendly fibres due to its natural pest resistance, quick growing cycle and ability to grow with relatively little water. It’s fitted with slip pockets and has pleats at the waistline that release to give the midi hem a flattering flare.
Mara Hoffman’s prints have been a summer staple since 2000. The label is now shifting gears and embracing more sustainable practices, including recycled, organic and animal-friendly materials, lower-impact production and artisan suppliers - an approach that matches their new aesthetic of softer colours and artful prints.
'Made with 100% Hemp. Hemp fibre is derived from the stems of the hemp plant, then woven into thread. Hemp grows easily without herbicides or pesticides, and requires relatively little water and land to cultivate.'
