Patagonia is as practical in its approach to design as it is committed to being as eco-conscious as possible, and while this P-6 style may look like your average hoody, it’s actually the perfect exemplifier of those points. Kitted out with the layer’s familiar trappings (drawstring hood, branding across the chest, kangaroo pocket), this iteration is spun from jersey that’s made from almost equal doses of recycled cotton and recycled polyester, imbued with just a hint of stretch.
Patagonia started small, making tools for climbers. Now, it makes clothes for outdoor adventures from trail-running to skiing and uses its voice to campaign for the protection of nature. Patagonia itself has taken impressive steps to reduce its environmental impact and set a goal for complete carbon neutrality by 2025.
