Proenza Schouler has been known for minimalist, functional shapes (designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez cite architecture as a big influence) since it burst onto the New York fashion scene in 2002. A case in point: the Pipe leather sandals, named after the chunky piping that runs around their perimeter to create a walking-on-a-cloud effect. Extra comfort comes courtesy of the spongy sole and thick adjustable straps: we won’t judge if you never want to take them off.
Proenza Schouler was founded in New York by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. Their work is inspired by contemporary art and youth culture and is combined with an emphasis on tailoring and the use of custom developed fabrics.
