Born and raised in NYC, Proenza Schouler is the brainchild of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, borrowing its name from the maiden names of their mothers. As we all know, mamas know best – and that appears to be true for this label’s creations, too. This cardigan, for example, is spun in a cashmere blend and shaped to a slouchy silhouette ideal to slip on when the evening chill hits – you know, the one your mum always says will occur, but you never listen? Yeah, that one.
Proenza Schouler was founded in New York by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. Their work is inspired by contemporary art and youth culture and is combined with an emphasis on tailoring and the use of custom developed fabrics.
