Los Angeles-based label RE/DONE was founded in 2014 with a mission to restore individuality to the retail industry and to extend the lives of garments. Since then, the brand has diverted over 145,000 garments from landfills, reconstructing them to enable a new lease of life. Take the 50s vest, for example; it’s knitted in a chunky-purl weave and cut to a boxy fit with a melange of diamond and check patterns on the front. Your Grandma’s wardrobe is safe, for now.
RE/DONE is not just a denim company, but the first luxury label that was born online. More than that, RE/DONE is a movement, to restore individuality to the luxury fashion space, keep heritage brands relevant, and create sustainable fashion.
