On a mission to be carbon positive by 2025 (the LA label is already carbon neutral), Reformation is known for selecting fabrics according to their sustainability impact. We’re not surprised that the Amora top is crafted from deadstock – leftover fabric that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill. Instead, it’s put to good use in a tweed-textured weave, shaping the sweetheart-neck silhouette and adjustable straps. Faux pearl-embellished buttons finish off this vintage-inspired style.
Long before it became fashionable, Reformation made sustainability cool, with limited collections of dresses, ethically-made in LA with ‘deadstock’ material. They’re still leading change, promising to be climate positive by 2025.
As the sustainable fashion movement gathers pace, we’re shining a light on the individual pieces with eco credentials, whether that’s lower-impact natural fabrics like linen, lyocell and organic cotton, recycled fibres, or more planet-friendly manufacturing techniques. If it’s greener, it’s here.
