Would you believe us if we told you that the clever people at eco-conscious label Reformation made the Gellar cardigan from beech trees? Magic. Well, it’s not magic (although that would be fun), instead modal is made from the wood pulp of the trees, a carbon-neutral process which uses 10-20 times less water than cotton production – clever right? Ribbed all over and buttoned up at the front, it features a deep V-neck and subtle bell sleeve (a nod to its hippy spirit, we reckon).
Long before it became fashionable, Reformation made sustainability cool, with limited collections of dresses, ethically-made in LA with ‘deadstock’ material. They’re still leading change, promising to be climate positive by 2025.
