Thanks to their figure-hugging fit and serious sustainable credentials, Reformation's jeans are just as much a cult item as its ruffled dresses, so much so that the LA label has lopped off the hems to make the Max shorts. Fitting just as snugly at the hips, they're cut from light-wash denim to fall relaxed through the leg, finishing in charming turn-ups. We'll be throwing them on with a fluttery top and wicker handbag for a summer spent out of doors.
Long before it became fashionable, Reformation made sustainability cool, with limited collections of dresses, ethically-made in LA with ‘deadstock’ material. They’re still leading change, promising to be climate positive by 2025.
'Made with 17% organic, 40% recycled cotton and 45% lyocell. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, uses less water and emits up to 46% less greenhouse gas than non-organic. Recycled cotton reduces waste, uses fewer natural resources and has a lower environmental impact. Lyocell is made from plant cellulose. While chemicals are used in its production, it is a closed-loop process, meaning that chemicals can be extracted and waste water reused.'
