Since dropping the “Yves” from its name, Saint Laurent follows the rhythm of its own drum. Luckily, though, some things never change, like the YSL monogram that’s stamped on the Kate shoulder bag. Additional details are kept to a minimum, but that universally recognised emblem is all that's needed to turn this bag into a focal point. The tactile raffia body is suspended from a cross-body chain and it’s fitted with one main compartment for stowing the essentials, from sunglasses to lipstick.
Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury ready-to-wear. Today, the iconic label is fronted by Anthony Vaccarello, who aims to explore Saint Laurent’s early years through his creations.
