Ever since Yves Saint Laurent commissioned Spanish manufacturer Castañer to design his now-iconic espadrilles at a Parisian trade show in the 70s, the brand has created new interpretations every Spring/Summer season. This time around and under the creative eye of Anthony Vaccarello, the signature style is crafted from a soft cotton and linen blend and set on a woven jute sole. They’re a fuss-free silhouette save for the brand’s handwritten logo embroidered along the side.
One of the most resounding names in fashion, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury ready to wear. Today, the iconic label is fronted by Anthony Vaccarello, who aims to explore Saint Laurent’s early years through his creations. Constantly featured in every major magazine, from Vogue to Elle.
