Saint Laurent wasn’t always named so; before 2015, when Hedi Slimane dropped the Yves as part of his overhaul of the French label, it was Yves Saint Laurent, something this wallet-on-chain pays tribute to. Rendered in leather with matelassé stitching, its envelope silhouette is stamped with a YSL monogram plaque and suspended from a complementing gold-tone chain shoulder strap.
Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury ready-to-wear. Today, the iconic label is fronted by Anthony Vaccarello, who aims to explore Saint Laurent’s early years through his creations.
