The Malaysian-born, Central Saint Martins graduate Han Chong is the design mastermind behind Self-Portrait. Since 2013, the brand has been cleverly playing around with structure and materials to create party-ready pieces, just like the SS23 pleated mini dress. It’s adorned with pearlescent flower shaped buttons which sit upon lashings of lace, whilst the shoulder pads and waist-cinching belt create a silhouette designed to turn heads.
Self-Portrait is all about creating feminine clothes, embellished with lace, leather and details that reveal their street style influences. Their collection of cool modern classics spans tailoring to accessories, but it's the dresses that steal the show.
