Once again, Han Chong of Self-Portrait is pivoting away from his usual lace-laden, ruffle-accented dressed for AW21. Instead, the designer favours a stripped-back aesthetic based on knitwear – one look at this striped mini dress, and you’ll see what we mean. Although knitted and ribbed throughout, it doesn’t wholly forgo the brand’s signatures; note the bow at the V-neckline and those dazzling crystal-embellished buttons.
Self Portrait is all about creating feminine clothes, embellished with lace, leather and details that reveal their street style influences. Their collection of cool modern classics spans tailoring to accessories, but it's the dresses that steal the show.
