Simone Rocha looks to the low necklines and full skirts of the Restoration period to create this cream dress, inspired by Nell Gwyn, actress and mistress of Charles II. It’s shaped from cotton canvas with a scoop neck and fitted bodice defined by flat seams which mimic the effect of boning, trimmed with glossy faux pearls and white crystals, then flares to a sculpted skirt.
Irish born designer Simone Rocha’s collections are inspired by giving women clothes with a strong sense of femininity. Each piece is defined by a fresh, cool approach to fabrics and materials. Must-have designs include her cult shoes and mini dresses. See them in publications like Grazia and Elle.
