The theme of the 1999 Met Gala was “Rock Style”, so it seemed fitting that Stella McCartney (daughter of world-famous rock star Paul McCartney) wore a top emblazoned with the phrase “Rock Royalty” for her first appearance on those infamous steps. Revisiting the iconic moment over twenty years later, the British designer reimagines the one-shoulder silhouette for her SS22 collection in a jersey crafted from recycled fibres to align with the eponymous brand’s commitment to reducing waste.
