Since launching in 2006, Danish label STINE GOYA has become renowned for its bold patterns and planet-friendly designs. Looking for an example? Enter, the Mia shirt. Crafted from pure organic cotton (which requires less water and energy during production than standard cotton), it’s shaped to a relaxed silhouette that’s topped with a collar before falling into long sleeves. It’s then cloaked in stripes, ensuring you’ll stand out on the streets of Copenhagen.
Danish designer Stine Goya has carved a niche with her colourful rejection of the familiar tropes of tasteful Scandinavian minimalism, underpinned by flattering cuts and high-quality fabrics. Sustainability is an important focus, with the ambition of at least 90% more-sustainable materials across the whole collection.
As the sustainable fashion movement gathers pace, we’re shining a light on the individual pieces with eco credentials, whether that’s lower-impact natural fabrics like linen, lyocell and organic cotton, recycled fibres, or more planet-friendly manufacturing techniques. If it’s greener, it’s here.
