Tibi's white shift dress is inspired by a classic T-shirt, then altered with optional padded shoulders and a straight silhouette that runs below the knees. It's made from Punto Milano, a heavyweight, Italian variety of cotton jersey that stands out for its quality and texture, and minimally accented with a silver D-ring at the nape of the neck.
Having founded Tibi in Hong Kong in 1997, designer Amy Smilovic returned to her New York roots in 2000 and set up her studio in a SoHo loft. The label’s eye-catching prints and unexpected colour combinations epitomise Manhattan cool and have featured in the likes of InStyle, Red and Grazia.
