Saint Laurent takes the classic bomber silhouette – originally a functional military jacket designed for pilots in the early 20th century – and translates it into a rustic, tactile statement in grained lambskin. The textured leather gives a worn, lived-in quality, while the cut preserves the iconic bomber proportions: fitted waist, defined shoulders, and a slightly cropped body.
Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury ready-to-wear. Today, the iconic label is fronted by Anthony Vaccarello, who aims to explore Saint Laurent’s early years through his creations.
