Almost Famous was launched in 2002 with a denim range as its first collection; a variety of styles with appliqué designs and embellishments. After much demand for complimenting attire, the design team designed a collection of tops and separates to work with the denim range. From a small showroom in West London, Almost Famous then went on to launch a full womenswear ready-to-wear collection for AW06. Today the collection comprises of a multitude of prints and vivacious colours, which the brand is now synonymously known for. The dress is a key piece in every collection. 2006 saw the opening of Almost Famous’s first flagship store in London’s Fitzrovia; with a distinct boutique-feel this was shortly followed by the launch of the successful online shop in 2007. The label now prizes itself with an eclectic 160 piece collection per season and an established number of UK and international stockists. Within the UK the brand sits within a variety carefully chosen boutiques and has concessions in House of Fraser, London Oxford Street, Birmingham, Nottingham and Manchester. Almost Famous are regular exhibitors at London Fashion Week, which attracts an international database that grows each season. As the brand goes from strength to strength, it’s celebrity following is increasing too.
