Nolan Bellavance and Ava Hama met on their first day at Parsons the New School for Design. Three years later the duo founded Bellavance after winning the inaugural Made for Peroni Young Designer Award. The duo debuted their Fall/Winter 2013 Collection at Milk Studios in February 2013, and the collection was bought exclusively by Opening Ceremony. The aim of Bellavance is to make clothing that is approachable as well as aspirational, with a foundation in the ongoing dialogue of American Sportswear. Bellavance is concise in execution, yet aesthetically in flux.
