Marte grew up on a small island off the West coast of Norway. Already in her childhood she loved spending time on the beach searching for those special pieces of shells and driftwood to collect and thread. Careers in modelling, media and a BA in Interior Design in London fuelled her passion for creating jewellery. Early pieces made for friends began to arouse interest from stylists, and before long boutiques were placing orders. Marte Frisnes Jewellery was born. Today her collection includes a wide range of hand made semi- precious earrings, bracelets and necklaces. She loves travelling and she always stock up on inspiration and great materials wherever she goes. Her pieces are simple, fun, feminine and above all wearable. Designs rest comfortably between costume and fine jewellery - casual, yet smart and timeless.
