Marwood was founded in 2010. It began life as a blog in 2009 displaying a detailed sketchbook of research which ultimately inspired the concept and attitude of its first collection of neckties. This range was developed and crafted by expert hands in the UK, using fine English cloth. The debut collection, which launched in January 2011 featured ties made from traditional English lace. These quickly gained the attention of ‘Other Shop’ in London, shortly followed by international stockists including Barneys Co-Op, Tomorrowland in Japan and Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong. Marwood is now stocked with the iconic London store, Liberty as well as the online men’s store, Mr Porter. The Marwood online shop launched in September ’12 and will showcase exclusive products and collaborations. Marwood approaches each season with the challenge of innovation and creating the unexpected with a subtle resolution. Each product intends to ignite excitement from discovering something new and be treasured and worn time and again.
