Deborah Fleming, the British/Colombian designer behind Pistol Panties, founded the brand with the concept of creating uniquely designed, uniquely well-cut and uniquely glamorous swimwear. Pistol Panties succeeds in being just that – swimwear that unites quirky style and feminine glamour with the perfect, flattering cut.The story of Pistol Panties began with an irresistible combination of vintage prints, quirky designs and Bond girl femininity, Deborah cut them in her kitchen herself and off she went to Selfridges who bought the lot! The starlet vibe and vintage fabrics of the original collections now form part of an eclectic range with added sophistication. From beautifully classic cuts to the latest trends, daring glamour to cute, quirky prints – a new variety of styles and shapes has developed that guarantees the perfect bikini for any girl. After studying fashion at college in London, Deborah’s first job was designing costumes for film and theatre. In the dusty costume cupboards where she would spend her days, she discovered the vintage film costumes whose retro glamour has been an inspiration from the very beginning. Her previous work, from designing high society wedding dresses to designing costumes for Disney, are reflected in the eclecticism, elegance and sense of fun of the swimwear she creates for Pistol Panties. Born in Paris, Deborah’s cosmopolitan upbringing in Miami, Geneva, London, New York and Los Angeles contributed a wealth of inspiration to her swimwear. Now an internationally renowned brand, Pistol Panties has stockists worldwide, including Selfridges, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Boutique 1 in Dubai, as well as numerous high-end boutiques. Pistol Panties have received vast press coverage and have an impressive celebrity following. Pistol Panties flagship store is located in Notting Hill – a retro beach boutique inspired by 1950s resorts with a fresh, feminine vibe. Sights are firmly set on opening further stores in selected cities worldwide.
