Svelte Metals was born out of necessity. Unable to find well-fitting rings and bracelets, Meghan Kanodia began commissioning pieces from local artisans for her personal jewelry collection. Designing jewelry became a true passion that led to the launch of her first collection in September 2014. A graduate of Parsons the New School for Design, Meghan has freelanced and interned for some of the top fashion companies in the world including ELLE, Stella McCartney, Teen Vogue, and Refinery29. Assisting stylists and costume designers on shoots for editorial, commercial, and film has given her the opportunity to hone her design aesthetic, while also assessing pieces available in the marketplace. As founder and head designer of Svelte Metals, Meghan believes that fashion jewelry should be of high quality and fit beautifully—like fine jewelry. This is why all pieces are made in the USA and why Svelte offers a special sizing system to accommodate those with petite hands and wrists. Svelte Metals has been featured on industry leading media including Refinery29, Huffington Post Style, Noisey/VICE, and JCK Online. Most recently, Elisabeth Moss rocked the Lancaster ring on the cover of New York Magazine.
